Welcome to Cartagena, Colombia. First trip to South America. Bienvenidos was the most commonly used word we heard. We were always made to feel welcome...from the hotel staff to the taxi drivers to the vendors on the street.

One morning, we watched surfing lessons from here. That same morning we hung out in the waves for a while.

One morning we took a cab all the way past the tall buildings to the Walls of Cartagena.

One morning we tried walking all the way to the Walls of Cartagena. We made it as far as the coolest little beach side shack for drinks and a snack with locals. Turns out it wasn't as far as we thought..jus

We wanted to enjoy our time. we tried to be smart the whole time. Had really no issues to speak of. Yes we were offered to purchase things...simply said no, gracias.

Girls don't sweat they glisten...especially in Cartagena. Oh my gosh the heat and humidity were expected, just not quite as much as we should have expected.
